Thompson's Bookkeeping & Consulting (TBC) is a firm that has been assisting clients of all sizes in Lincoln and surrounding areas for over 2 years, and is on the rise! We are looking for a Side Hussle Bookkeeper (contract worker) to perform a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties for a variety of for-profit and nonprofit clients.

Side Hussle Bookkeeper

Duties and Responsibilities:

Record all transactions accurately and submit reports to appropriate parties
Prepare journal entries, invoices, bank deposits as needed
Reconcile bank/credit cards accounts
Perform month-end close procedures
Process payroll
Calculate and process various regular tax filings (sales, occupation, litter tax, etc.)
Other duties as assigned

Skills/qualifications:

Proven bookkeeping experience/relevant experience preferred OR driven to learn new skills.
QuickBooks Online experience preferred, but not required
Detail-oriented
Positive attitude
Excellent organizational & time management skills
The ability to communicate effectively and professionally both through email and verbally with clients, vendors co-workers
The ability to maintain confidentiality

Details:

W-9 employment (contract)
Work remotely (must have own computer)
Minimal hours (client/task specific assignments)
Competitive pay based on experience and performance
Ability to earn commissions
