Thompson’s Business Consulting (TBC) is a firm that has been assisting clients of all sizes in Lincoln and surrounding areas since 2020, and is on the rise! We are looking for a Side Hussle Bookkeeper (contract worker) to perform a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties for a variety of for-profit and nonprofit clients.


We believe in order to best assist and earn our clients trust, a strong company culture must be exemplified. Side Hussle Bookkeeper

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Record all transactions accurately and submit reports to appropriate parties
  • Prepare journal entries, invoices, bank deposits as needed
  • Reconcile bank/credit cards accounts
  • Perform month-end close procedures
  • Process payroll
  • Calculate and process various regular tax filings (sales, occupation, litter tax, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/qualifications:

  • Proven bookkeeping experience/relevant experience preferred OR driven to learn new skills.
  • QuickBooks Online experience preferred, but not required
  • Detail-oriented
  • Positive attitude
  • Excellent organizational & time management skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively and professionally both through email and verbally with clients, vendors co-workers
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality

Details:

  • W-9 employment (contract)
  • Work remotely (must have own computer)
  • Minimal hours (client/task specific assignments)
  • Competitive pay based on experience and performance
  • Ability to earn commissions
